The project involves the design and construction of a new high school at RAF Lakenheath, replacing ageing existing facilities and delivering a modern educational campus for approximately 480 students. The programme includes specialist teaching facilities, sports and performance spaces, associated infrastructure and extensive site works, all within the operational environment of a major US Air Force base. Delivery is subject to demanding UK and US defence, security, sustainability and environmental requirements.
Beacon supported the client across both the Social Value and technical sustainability elements of the bid. We worked with the bid and technical teams to develop contract-specific solutions, shape the delivery strategy and write the expert tender responses. This included developing credible Social Value commitments aligned to the local community and project workforce, alongside detailed sustainability content covering areas such as carbon reduction, environmental performance, sustainable construction and project governance.
